Part of the Senator Group, Senator International Ltd is a leading British manufacturer and supplier of business furniture for corporate, office, public sector, hospitality and retail environments. Its clients include some of the UK’s most recognisable brands and institutions including Rolls Royce, the University of Cambridge, Barts Health NHS Trust and Wembley Stadium.

Senator International Ltd makes everything from office chairs to partition screens, and tables to hidden storage. Packaging and protecting its products is a key priority and it relies on the supply of quality packaging consumables to ensure products arrive at customers’ premises in perfect condition.

CHALLENGE – Masking tape is used extensively throughout Senator International Ltd for everything from making up boxes to securing the foam protection that’s wrapped around the 15,000 tables they manufacture every week.

So when the quality of the masking tape Senator International Ltd was supplied wasn’t up to standard, it threatened to cause significant disruption. Purchaser Ben Davies faced a ‘job stop’ situation and needed to source an alternative product. Fast.

SOLUTION –

Ben had recently worked with Clingfoil on an urgent order of pallet strapping. The product had arrived the same day, delivered in person by their Clingfoil sales rep. Aware that Clingfoil supplied a diverse range of packaging products, Ben got in touch and explained the urgency of the masking tape situation.

Again, Clingfoil impressed, turning around Senator International Ltd’s order within a single day and enabling employees to get on with the task of packaging products for safe onward distribution to customers.

Ben’s team of seven people deals with around 60 suppliers across a diverse range of consumables, so they don’t have time to spend time chasing orders or complaining about the quality of products.
